Logitech G15 Keyboard Version 2 Review

!±8± Logitech G15 Keyboard Version 2 Review

Logitech G has launched its range of products for a while 'time. G is for games with products ranging from flying to the speakers. The Logitech G15 keyboard is the top part of the series and sells for about $ 70. But it's worth it?

Design

Some, like the design of others may hate. His clear Logitech has opted for the leaner, cleaner look with their second version of the keyboard. The G15 is also one of the few with backlit buttons and an LCD screen withmore on that later. All the keys you expect us to G15 and the G-keys. These are the buttons on the left side, which are programmable. G1 can CTRL + ALT + DEL to say, for example. There are 3 buttons, including a 3-switching, which drops to 18 programmable keys. We found 18 to be more than enough, but some may be more die hard. The LCD screen with multimedia keys, which allows more than one medium is surrounded applications including iTunes and Media Player VLC Playersurprisingly is not supported. The LCD is bright and clear the G15, but we would have a color screen, however, will be lit with orange backlighting. Ultimately, we liked the project very much, but some people can hate. In particular, the lack of portable computers such as keys, could the color orange and the fact that Apple does not disappoint the people thing.

Functionality

The Logitech G15 with gamers in mind, but the office-freak or casual users could make it as useful. Logitechprovides a disc with multiple programs, you must install. Even if they are not required to install the software on hardware tends to work happy that it was absolutely necessary here. The keyboard is plug and play, but you need the software to program the keys G. The LCD screen is very useful during the Games. He gave me the opportunity to see how the load on the processor and memory. And with Fraps I could see the frame rate directly on the G15 LCD screen. The screen can also beThe media player of the time, news and information, but overall does not offer much more for the casual user.

Typing

Thus, the G15 keyboard functional and aesthetic. But the most important test is yet to make it work? I passed this advice to shelter about a year ago, Microsoft used a keyboard for several years. The first thing I noticed is that the keys are closer together than the board of Microsoft. I really really had this for about 2 months before useI could go properly. But once I got used to, I found the keyboard is very good performance. The keys are soft and make a noise when pressed. Not much, but certainly more than keyboards. I think this may be a positive and negative, I could be, because it gives me extra help when typing quickly. But that said, does not $ 70 worth has done better than my old one. So, if you spend big bucks to do it for other functions and not just because guys a little 'better. WhyThere are alternatives that are much cheaper.

Completion

The screen is useful for games or casual users, but enthusiasts may find not to pay extra for a feature will not be used. It works kind of good and decent, but its distinctive look and high price, but to scare people.
